Georgia O’Keeffe stated, “I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way – things I had no words for.”
Roy Chang speaks ingeniously and humorously to the heart of the issues that affect society. He is an art teacher, editorial cartoonist and a freelance illustrator. He graduated from Moanalua High School, has a bachelor of fine arts degree in illustration from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco and a master’s in education from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. His cartoons have appeared in UH’s Ka Leo O Hawaii, Star-Bulletin, Honolulu Weekly and MidWeek. Roy is the author and illustrator of the new book, Cacy and Kiara and the Curse of the Ki`i published by BeachHouse Publishing (www.beachhousepublishing.com).
