How does God take a boy who grew up as one of nine siblings under the watchful care of a single mom in Barbados, become the church relations director in Boston for a national corporation? This is the story of Rev. Basil Yarde. It is a story of God’s miraculous provision, including raising rabbits, along with the cultivation of a musical gift that blesses people to this day. As Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar with wings like eagles.”
Rev. Basil Yarde grew up in the West Indies before going to Bible college in Trinidad where he graduated from West Indies School of Theology. He pastored Abundant Life Assembly in Barbados. He is the Director of Church Relations at Salem Media Boston and Senior Elder of Final Thrust Kingdom Community. He is married to Marion E. Blades: sons Basil Patrick and Brandon Paul and 3 grandchildren.
