Have you ever had a need so close to your heart, but, felt the loneliness of not having anyone understand? To make things more painful, you felt there was no one to help you. Our guests today represent an organization that brings hope to people throughout Alaska. In the new millennium Hope Community Resources, Inc. continues to grow as the State of Alaska works towards eliminating the wait list for services such as recreation programs, spiritual wellness, and supported parenting and relationships all in an effort to meet the ever-changing needs of people who experience a disability. As of 2011, over 1,200 individuals and families are working in partnership with Hope to ensure their needs and dreams are being met.
Tonja Rambow is the Senior Deputy Director of Hope Community Resources, Inc. became part of the community of Hope in 1999. She brought with her an academic background in Psychology and experiences from the fields of senior services, behavioral/mental health and developmental disabilities. For more than a decade Tonja has been instrumental in Hope’s explorations of spirituality and culture; behavioral health supports; leadership and staff development. She is joined by Michele Girault the Deputy Director of Programs across Alaska.
