Ten years of doing something is a milestone. When it comes to missions, conducting an annual missions conference for 10 years is a spectacular pinnacle? Especially when you consider how much resources have been raised to support missionaries and church planters worldwide. Further, how many attendees have received the blessing of participating and hearing the premier speakers and leaders in missions. On top of it all, it’s been happening with a relentless growth pattern. I’m speaking of Calvary Assembly of God led by senior pastor Terry Wong.
Reverend Terry Wong is currently the senior pastor of Calvary Assembly of God in Honolulu. He is an ordained minister and a sectional presbyter with the Assemblies of God and has been a founding pastor, youth pastor, evangelist and guest speaker in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, East Timor, India, Japan, Nepal, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and throughout the U.S. He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master degree in Theology, specializing in church growth and evangelism, and from University of Victoria with a Bachelor degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. He is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Pastor Terry has been involved in missions, evangelism, discipleship, preaching, healing, prayer and worship ministries for over 22 years.
He was also a successful business professional for 21 years in software sales. He enjoys martial arts, many sports and chess. Together with his wife Vicky, they have three young children: Brandon, Vanessa and Ryan.
Luke 24:47 “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
