It is a journey from Kalihi to D.C. Cha and Jack Thompson, the owners of Tihati Productions were the guests of the Japanese government to attend the enthronement ceremony for the emperor of Japan in November of 1991, along with the Head of State of Western Samoa. In early 1993, the Thompson’s joined President Clinton in Washington for the National Prayer Breakfast, as representatives for Hawaii. In 2009, they have worked with the Hawaii delegation for the Inauguration of President Obama.
Cha Thompson serves as Chairman for both the Honolulu Police Commission and the Institute of Human Services. She has also participated in the Noel Foundation Awards Celebration of International Leadership to benefit the United Nations Development Fund for Women, (UNIFEM). In 1999, Cha won the prestigious award of Mother of the Year by American Mothers, Inc.
