Roger Huang came to San Francisco from Taiwan in 1970. After escaping an abusive home, he lived on the streets. He met a young French woman, Maite, whom he married. Together, they went on a quest to find meaning in life. They both encountered Christ in a personal way. Soon, they were captivated by the Tenderloin District, compelled by God to meet the needs of people there. Roger and Maite prayed, fasted and fed the community in the name of Jesus. In three decades the ministry has been used by the Lord to transform hundreds of thousands of lives.
Pastor Roger Huang is the pastor of San Francisco Worship Center and founder of City Impact Ministries. He is the author of Chasing God: One Man’s Miraculous Journey in the Heart of the City.
