About our Guest:

Pastor James “Kimo” Matsumoto did three prison terms and served a total of 8 ½ years in the Hawaii State prison system. While in prison he encountered a life changing experience with the Lord Jesus Christ. He graduated from Victory Ohana Prison Ministries in 1997, became a volunteer staff-member and served on its board of directors for 2 years. He and his wife moved to Waianae and in 1998 and served at Shield of Faith Christian Ministries for four years. In 2002, they started having Bible studies in their home and eventually led to further growth where they began holding services Waianae Elementary in 2006. He is the Lead Pastor for Powerhouse Church in Waianae.
