A few years ago, I hiked down part of the Grand Canyon with my children. We noticed the intense appreciation for water from hikers coming up past us. “Take a lot of water,” they warned. Life’s dehydrations aren’t always about the bodies need for water. There are other types. Emotional dehydration can happen by becoming a sponge to everyone’s problems without managing your own emotional supply. Good rest, quiet reflection and prayer are practical ways to refresh.
