If you found out someone needs an organ transplant, how far would you be willing to go to help? Imagine you are sitting in church and you learn of the need one of the church members have for a kidney donor, how would you respond? In the lives of Patsy Matsuda and Dr. Kerry Ishihara this scenario was lived out – the impact has been life-saving, transforming and God honoring. They are in studio to share their story with us.
Patsy Uyema-Matsuda graduated from the University of Hawaii and now as a bookkeeper for MGA Architecture in Waikiki. Pat is married to Gary. Dr. Kerry Ishihara graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel for the U.S. Army Reserves. He has served on mission teams to Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Marshall Islands, Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia. He is married to Joni. They have two daughters, Kelli, a physician and active duty captain and Torri, a middle school teacher. Both Dr. Ishihara and Pat Matsuda are members of New Hope Mililani.
John 15:3 “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
