In an article entitled, ‘Glad News’ For Muslims,’ Dan Wooding presented this on CBN.com saying, “An Egyptian born attorney now living in the United States has released a book aimed at sharing the Gospel with Muslims. Called Glad News, God Loves You My Muslim Friend,…It is written in a scholarly style and is aimed at Muslims who know their Koran. The late Chuck Smith, former senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, said, “This book does an excellent job in relating the whole substance of the Gospel to Muslims against the background of their own beliefs (Courtesy of Assist Communications).” They are speaking of the author, Samy Tanagho.
Samy Tanagho was born and raised in Egypt where he worked as an attorney before he came to the United States in 1980. He studied Islamic Law and Islamic Religion at Ain Shams University, School of Law, in Cairo. Working with Muslims since 1976, he explained why he feels it is important to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Muslims. Samy has been sharing the Gospel with Muslims for over 30 years. He speaks on God’s love towards sinners and how we can communicate the Gospel effectively to the people we meet, including Muslims. Samy’s passion is to encourage every member in the body of Christ to be active in fulfilling the Great Commission. His wife Hala often joins him to share her story of imprisonment in Egypt for converting from Islam to Christianity.
