How does God use a man baptized as a Scandinavian Lutheran who joined a Charismatic mission agency before marrying a Presbyterian in a Congregational church? In what ways did his background which includes baptizing his daughter in an Anglican church, while working for a Baptist mission, and joining the faculty of an Evangelical seminary prepare him for research in global Christianity? This is the story of Todd Johnson, who in the spirit of John 3:16, learned about Jesus as a global savior in Cambodia.
Dr. Todd M. Johnson is the Eva B. and Paul E. Toms Distinguished Professor of Mission and Global Christianity, and Co-Director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is also a visiting Research Fellow at Boston University’s Institute for Culture, Religion, and World Affairs. Todd earned his PhD at William Carey Univerisity.
Scripture: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
