What’s it like to hang 40 stories high with your legs dangling with nothing but a harness strapped around your waist and hips? How does it feel? You’re holding a giant squeegee in your hand because you are there to clean the windows. It’s a hair raising job that not many want to do, but because of the exclusivity of the work, due to the danger (and constitution required) it is a profitable business. Our guest today knows from decades of experience what this is like. He also knows what it takes to grow a business that has become #1 in the industry. He’s here to share what His relationship with Jesus has meant to him in this feature, “Hanging High By God’s Grace.”
Dino Pertzoff was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. He transfered from the University of Delaware to the University of Hawaii in January 1982 on a bet. while at the University of Hawaii, he began cleaning high rise windows for a living. Ten years later he went into business as Dino’s Window Cleaning and merged with another small firm in 1998 to start World Wide Window Cleaning. Within 2 years it became the largest window cleaning company in Hawaii. He met his wife in 1996, became a follower of Jesus Christ and married in 1999. Dino says his 38 minutes of fame occurred in 2009 be was featured on the TV show “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel. Many opportunities have arisen from this including the shooting of their own reality TV show called “The Drop” capturing the day to day drama of high rise window cleaning in Hawaii. Currentry he is on the board of directors at Calvary Chapel Komo Mai and also Family Ministries Center. He is working with Dr. Hale Akamine with Family Ministries Center on a TV talk show called “Akamai Style.”

  • What does it feel like to hang from the side of a building more than 60 stories high?
  • When did you realize it was time to surrender your life to Christ?
  • What difference has Christ made in your life, family and business?
  • Describe your experience being on the nationally televised, “Dirty Jobs” show?
Matthew 17:20 “He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
