www.coblepartners.org and www.calvarychapelofhonolulu.comAt a time when multitudes are evacuating, some people are going into the places that have been most devastated, namely, Christian missionaries, like my friend James Coble of the Every Nation organization and Pastor Bill Stonebraker of Calvary Chapel of Honolulu. James has gone in three times to the impact zone and has been selected to coordinate a large collaboration of workers to distribute needed supplies. Pastor Bill is there to assess how to strategically galvanize the resources from his network of churches. Both join us from Japan on separate occassions for a heartfelt “on the ground report.”
Japan has faced an unprecedented cataclysm in three compounding parts: Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear Radiation Meltdown. The damage of each, singularly, is enough to shake the core of any nation. All three would have been virtually unthinkable as early as March 10, 2011. It’s during these critical moments of crisis where the love of Christ is most vividly expressed.
