Walter Elliot said, ”Perseverence is not a long race. It is many short races one after the other.” Our guest today has not only been in his share of short races – he’s won many of them. Along the way he’s learned lessons of perseverance that come when we struggle and the odds are against us. It’s a monumental task any time you see a need and fill it. But, when the need affects masses of people, fulfilling it is gargantuan. It takes a certain kind of team and a rare leadership gift mix to move forward.
Fred Rodi is a founder and the president of DR Fortress. He is responsible for DR Fortress’ overall business strategy and sales. Fred brings over 14 years of experience in the telecommunications and Internet datacenter industry. Previously a Senior Account Manager with Equinix, he was responsible for the Hawaii market while still selling into other markets. Through effectively creating resale partners and bringing in the right mix of customers, he has grown the Honolulu facility to its current capacity and has created critical mass resulting in momentum for more demand in colocation services. Formerly with Sprint Hawaii, he helped to bring the IP and Frame Relay node to the Pearl City POP. He has extensive knowledge in the following areas; Data Center Infrastructure, Internet Exchange, IP, Frame Relay, VoIP, TLS, and other Telecommunications Services. Fred graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. He is married to Sherrie and they havto three children: Calista, Daniel, Christopher (Sibby).They are members of New Hope Diamond Head from where Fred regularly conducts missions work in India.
