Letting God Take Over – Part 2
Kimo and Debbie Piceno
The divorce rate in America is above 50%. The divorce rate among those who say they are Christians is also over 50%. Disturbing. Divorce among military families is high, too – largely due to the effects of war and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). But, on rare occasions, couples remarry. Their love, respect and support for one another reaches new levels of commitment. Kimo and Debbie Piceno have experienced this transformation which they attribute as coming from God’s grace and a spiritual awakening.
Kimo Piceno was recruited to play football by the University of Southern California. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance. He later became an officer with the Investigative Services Unit (ISU) with the California Department of Corrections handling all criminal and gang activity within the prison system as Correctional Sergeant. Debbie Piceno is an information technology systems analyst for the Air National Guard. They have four sons: Kaipo, Keone, Ikaika, and Kaleo.
