Max Lucado wrote, “God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it. Marriage was conceived and born in the mind of God.” Yet, every married couple faces challenges. Some are at the breaking point. But, there is hope!
Dr. Greg Smalley serves as executive director of Marriage and Family Formation at Focus on the Family. In this role, he develops and oversees initiatives that prepare individuals for marriage, strengthen and nurture existing marriages and help couples in marital crises. He’s worked for the Center for Relationship Enrichment at John Brown University and as President of the National Institute of Marriage. He is the author of eleven books including The DNA of Relationships, The DNA of Parent and Teen Relationships and The Wholehearted Marriage. He received his doctorate at the Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in Southern California, and a counseling degree from Denver Seminary. He and his wife Erin live in Colorado. They have three daughters, Taylor, Maddy and Annie, and one son, Garrison.
