How does the passing of a parent impact a person in the hard and long journey of grief? In what way does joining a college campus ministry help reset a person’s perspective? Or, going on a mission trip to a place like Guatemala? This is the story of Kahikina Abuluyan. A story of God’s hand weaving a tapestry of experiences to serve the lives of young people at a critical time in their lives.

Kahikina Abuluyan is the Program Coordinator at Hawaii National Guard Youth Challenge Academy in Kalaeloa, Hawaii. Her leaderships is built on experience as a Lead Exploration Counselor and as a Crisis Worker. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Hawaii at West Oahu and has three associate’s degrees: in applied science, air traffic control, and aircraft dispatch from Leeward Community College and Green River Community College. She’s also a proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.

Scripture: Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
