What’s it like to be on the verge of retirement? What lessons have been learned through the collective years of a fulfilling career? What is there to look forward to? It’s one thing to want to retire. It’s quite another thing to see retirement in God’s plan and purpose. Such is the story of our guest – but, only part of the story.
Pat Curtis has been the senior pastor at Valley Bible Church for 20 years. He grew up in Northern California and holds a ThM. From Dallas Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Western Seminary. Previously he established and directed Evergreen Youth Ministry in Evergreen Colorado and was the senior pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in Santa Rosa, California for 11 years. He has been married to his high school sweet heart, Carol, for 41 years. They have three grown children and 6 grandchildren. Pat’s interests include reading, exercise and outdoor sports and activities. He remains a committed SF 49er and SF Giant fan. Pat will be retiring from his position at Valley Bible Church at the end of the summer and returning to California.
Proverbs 14:26 “Whoever fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge.”
