Pastor Elwin is the Senior Pastor of New Hope Metro, located in the heart of Honolulu. As a Hawaii State Judge, in 1995 Pastor Elwin made his most important decision when he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart, which became his defining moment in life. On January 1, 2000, Pastor Elwin resigned from his promising judicial career and stepped up into full-time ministry. In 2012, New Hope Metro’s inaugural year, Pastor Elwin was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia and underwent intense hospitalization and treatment. However, God’s miraculous power has healed him of this disease. Having experienced the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
Elwin has a passion to teach, inspire, and equip others to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. He and his wife, Joy, have two children, Brandon, New Hope Metro’s Assistant Pastor, and Jared, who finds FUN in every adventure of life.
The Mission of Metro Christian Academy is a Christian preschool dedicated to povide quality early education that integrates developmentally appropriate, child centered instruction in which a child may grow spiritually, cognitively, emotionally, physically and socially in a Biblically-based environment, that builds Christ-like character and achieves excellence in academics for each child.
