Today’s Episode:
There is something quite special about the start of things. A new season, a new year, a new job, a new team, a new opportunity. Maybe that’s it! A new opportunity gives us a chance to take all our past experiences – good and bad and use them for something productive. Emily Dickinson wrote, “We turn not older with years, but newer everyday.” George E. Woodberry said, “”Old times” never come back and I suppose it’s just as well. What comes back is a new morning every day in the year, and that’s better.” reminds me of Lamentations 3:22-23, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his compassions never fail, they are new every morning, Great is thy faithfulness.” God has blessed us with today and however you may feel, it can be the start of a better tomorrow. Our guests today do that everyday with young people who surround their lives (or shall I say are in their lives) and this beyond their own children. They are bringers of hope – God’s hope…Christ’s hope. And by the way, their children are excelling in fabulous ways, too, with a son who is a professional surfer and a daughter who earned a place on one of Hawaii’s coveted high school volleyball teams.
