Aaron Ching grew up in Mililani. He met his wife Shawn at Hilton Hawaiian Village. He works at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. He and Shawn have one daughter, Jenna. In their twelfth year of marriage, Aaron found Shawn unresponsive on Tuesday February 22, 2011. She was transported by ambulance to emergency at Kaiser Hospital. Shawn was bleeding in her head due to a brain aneurysm. Multiple operations were needed. Shawn woke up from the coma beginning early April and was transferred to Maluhia Hospital on April 21 and again transferred to Rehab Hospital of the Pacific on November 2011. Shawn was released to go home on December 21, 2011. She continues to heal by the grace and power of God.
