Putting Faith In To Action: Give Blood- Dr. Kim-Anh Nguyen and Maura Dolormente

Dr. Kim-Anh Nguyen is the president and CEO of Blood Bank of Hawaii. A board certified clinical pathologist, and blood banking and transfusion professional, she brings expertise and passion to the blood banking field in Hawaii. Dr. Nguyen oversees all aspects of Blood Bank of Hawaii operations, with 120 qualified professionals, including blood collections staff, medical laboratory technicians and recruitment specialists.

A clinical educator Dr. Nguyen has trained medical residents and fellows as a professor for the Department of Laboratory Medicine at University of California at San Francisco and is a member of the UH Pathology Residency Program Graduate Medical Education Committee. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree cum laude in biochemical sciences from Harvard University and received her doctorate degrees (M.D. and Ph.D.) in medicine and immunology from University of Pennsylvania. Maura Dolormente is the of Marketing for the Blood Bank of Hawaii.
