LaureneChanWhat happens when the dream of the family life you envisioned suddenly vanishes and you are left shattered with disppointment and confusion? Where do you go from there? Our guest has been through it. She has also seen the Lord miraculously make her life whole again in ways she could have never imagined.

Laurene Chan is a mother of four children, 11-year-old twins Mia and Hailey, 10-year-old son Jonah and 15-month-old baby Micah. She serves as CFO of Chan Holdings and Development, and is married to Shane Chan, owner of Shane L. Chan CPA Inc. A 1996 graduate of Kalani High School, Laurene became a Christian in 7th grade and credits God for helping her through the many ups and downs in her life, including a sudden breakup with the father of her first three children, and then fulfilling her dreams of finding a husband that would make her family whole again, as well as a new baby and many more exciting life changing moments. Shane and Laurene attend New Hope O’ahu.

– What was the key moment that moved you toward healing and restoration?
– Who did God use to spur you on to a new and better life?
– How unusual was the way you met your husband?
– When the Lord directed you to respond to the person/s who hurt you most, what did you do?

Isaiah 55:9: “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
