The son of a Native Hawai‘ian father and a second-gernation Chinese mother, Elwin Ahu was born and raised in Pearl City. In August 2014, Elwin was the Primary Election victor in the nomination to join with Duke Aiona, who is running for Governor, as his running mate for Lieutenent Governor. God’s purposeful direction.
Prior to his candidacy, Elwin Ahu served as a legal advocate for those with an inability to pay a lawyer, a Judge and most recently, Senior Pastor at New Hope Metro. Elwin Ahu, describes his campaign as one that he hopes will draw together the hearts and spirits of all. He and his wife Joy have two sons, Brandon and Jared.
