Biography: Nalani Choi graduated from Kamehameha Schools and was propelled with her friends Lehua Kalima Heine and Angela Morales into musical success with their hit song “Local Boys.” Na Leo Pilimehana was born. After Nalani had risen to the heights of branch manager for Bank of Hawaii, the group reunited and was again catapulted by their rendition of “Friends.” Since 1982 Na Leo Pilimehana released 19 CD’s, won 22 Hoku Awards, and have been on the top 20 AC charts nationally. Nalani is married to Shelton. They have three children: Kaha’i, Pono, and Aulani.
