How does God take a man who experienced the devastation of the Vietnam War, racial injustice, and drug abuse become a messenger of hope through Jesus Christ? How does God take that man and along with his wife raise a family in a marriage of 45 years? This is the story of Pastor Marshall and Katika Brandon of Akron, Ohio.

Marshall and Katika Brandon have been involved in ministry for 40 years: addiction recovery, racial reconciliation, prison ministry, and homeless ministry. They are founders and directors of a reentry home for the incarcerated and founders of Highland Square Church. Marshall currently serves as an Elder at Citizens Akron Church, and chaplain at Parkman Recovery detox and treatment center.

2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone, the new is here!”
