Are you doing too much? Do you know how to rest? Does “Busy”, “Tired,” and “Anxious” describe you? Dr. Adam Mabry in his book, The Art of Rest: Faith to Hit Pause in a World that Never Stops, explains how not resting almost broke him. He joins us to discuss the meaning of rest. He has also written a book titled When God Seems Gone: Finding Hope When Nothing Makes Sense. We’ll talk about that too.

Dr. Adam Mabry is the Lead Pastor at Aletheia Church in Boston. He earned his Master of Arts degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology and Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at The University of Aberdeen. Adam is the author of The Art of Rest, Stop Taking Sides: How Truth in Tension Saves Us from Anxiety and Outrage, and When God Seems Gone. They have four children: Alana, Nora, Cole, and Wyatt.

Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
