How does God a farm boy from Wisconsin studying the science of soils and plants become a leading Old Testament scholar? What did the Vietnam War, hippies, and the Jesus movement mean to him in such a way that his focus became clear about his future pursuits related to Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek? This is the story of Richard Averbeck, whose teaching on the Old Testament law has shaped leaders worldwide.
