

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Our guest today has won the hearts of thousands through his cuisine. Yet world-renowned Hawaii-born chef Sam Choy might disagree that food is the way to capture a person’s heart.
Chef Sam Choy is an American chef, restaurateur, and television personality known as a founding contributor of “Pacific rim cuisine” and is an alumnus of the Kapiolani Community College Culinary Arts program. Chef Choy is the recipient of the James Beard Foundation’s America’s Classics Award and has opened many restaurants including Sam Choy’s in Guam, Seattle, the Big Island and on Oahu. He and his wife Carol have two sons, Sam Jr. and Christopher.
