He’s acted in Hawaii Five-O and Hollywood movies like where he starred in Enemy Lines 2 by Twentieth Century Fox. He’s produced the #1 hit movie of all time in Korea – Dragon Wars which grossed 40 million in Korea and 10 million in the US. Through it all he’s seen the highs of material success and the lows of homelessness. He relates with the fears, anxiety and pain many experience today and he shares how Christ has seen him through. His mother, an actress and business woman gives a unique perspective of her son’s ordeal.

Dennis James Lee has has done it all, from gangster to homeless person to filmmaker, actor, singer/songwriter and even foreign missionary. Throughout all the craziness, music has always been a central part of his sanity. Now he’s just released his third album, “Under Your Shade” that includes songs that hit #1 on the charts on many internet sites. One of the songs is a the powerful rock ballad, ‘You lift me high’ which reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice of the savior and how Christ’s love personally saved Dennis in the darkest of times.

The lead song ‘Hold on’ is about individuals dealing with addictions that eventually find the spiritual strength to step back from life’s abyss and the title song ‘Light from my heart’, is about those that serve the less fortunate and are compassionate to the sufferings of children around the world. Dennis is enthusiastic about being part of the non-profit organization, ‘Haiti Kids Now’, that is producing a documentary about the plight of the Haitian street/slave children, which is to be released worldwide late 2013. Proceeds from the album will help the children who are in need.

Tomiko Ok Lee (Tomiko Okhee Lee) is a Korean actress and producer. She has starred in several television shows and movies, such as The Byrds of Paradise (1993–94), Soap Girl (2002), The Last Eve (2005) and two episodes of Lost (2004–2010). She was also an executive producer on both Soap Girl and The Last Eve. She also produced a documentary – Innocence Abandoned: Street Kids Of Haiti.

In Today’s Episode:

  • How special was the biker on the Harley Davidson at the church?
  • When a mother feels helplessly burdened for her child, what can she do?
  • Why did you have to go to Cedar Sinai Hospital?
  • What difference has Christ made in your life?
